Beverly Fischer

 Beverly Ann (Baier) Fischer, 82, of Vermillion, SD passed away peacefully Thursday, September 12 at the Sanford Vermillion Care Center. Beverly was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

 Beverly was born January 18, 1942 in Fort Mead, SD to Edmund and Elizabeth (Champion) Baier. Her mother and grandfather raised her until her father returned from WWII when she was three years old. She grew up in Alexandria, SD with her three younger brothers. She was confirmed at the Clayton Lutheran Church. She eloped and married the love of her life, Harold Fischer on October 12, 1958 in Pipestone, MN. During their marriage, they were blessed with five children, and later adopted their first granddaughter. Beverly was a homemaker and bookkeeper for Fischer Disposal. She also milked cows and made lots of home made ice cream. She was involved in the Extension Club, ladies church group at Trinity Lutheran Church and the Vermillion Saddle Club.

 Beverly is survived by her husband Harold, daughters: Charlene (David) Cohen of Kempner, TX, Lori (Mark) Hubert of Vermillion, and Angela Fischer of Billings, MT, Sons: Loren Fischer and Lonnie (Linda) Fischer all of Vermillion. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, two brothers, Jim (Jackie) Baier of Canistota, SD and Kelly (Tammy) Baier of Denver, CO and sister in laws: Linda Baier, Amanda Stewart, Arlene Wagner, Elsie Jensen, Adeline Hofer and Iona Fischer, and also many nieces and nephews.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Terry Baier, a daughter Denise Keller and grandsons Derek Crumpton and Clint Hubert.

 Funeral services will be at 1:30 PM Wednesday, September 18th at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Vermillion with burial to follow in the Menno Cemetery in Menno, SD. The visitation will be Tuesday, September 17 from 5-7 PM with a Service at 7 PM all at the Hansen Funeral Home in Vermillion.
