Debra Christenson

Debra Christenson (Debbie), age 65, of Vermillion, South Dakota, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2025. She was born in Rapid City, South Dakota, and later moved to Vermillion with her family.

Debbie will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and the care she showed to those around her. She enjoyed her cats and dogs, giving gifts to others, and touched the lives of many through her warmth, generosity, and humor.

She is survived by her sister, Sharon (Ron) Christensen, brother Mike Christenson, and aunt Irene Moray, along with several nieces and nephews and friends who will miss her dearly.

Debbie was baptized in 1974 as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and was well known throughout the community as someone who offered a positive thought from the bible. Her favorite message to share was John 5:28,29 which was her hope in the resurrection.

A memorial service will be held on Oct 4th, at 3:00 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Vermillion.
