Jane Marie Ford, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away in her home on Monday, December 1, 2025.
On a warm summer day, August 24, 1956, Jane arrived as the fifth daughter of Clarence and Bernice Stevens. She was baptized and confirmed at Calvary Lutheran Church and graduated from Irene High School with the Class of 1974.
No matter where life took her, Jane always carried Irene in her heart. She loved her home community and enjoyed being part of local events throughout her life.
Jane spent many years in the medical field, working as a phlebotomist for more than two decades. Her steady hands and gentle spirit made her a favorite among patients—many asked for her by name. She was admired not just for her skill, but for the comfort and reassurance she brought to everyone she cared for. Later, she worked with the U.S. Postal Service until her retirement.
In 1987, Jane married Peter Ford, and together they welcomed their son, Andrew, who was the light of her life. Becoming a grandmother brought her immeasurable joy, and she cherished every moment with her grandchildren.
Jane is survived by a large and loving family who will miss her endlessly. Holding her forever in their hearts are her fiancé, Ronnie Hinseth; son Andy (Brooke), granddaughters Hadlee and Everleigh, and Brooke’s children Skylar, Jaxon, and Bentley. She is also survived by her sisters Jan (Harold) Klimisch, Bonnie (Dave) Schaefer, Judy (Jim) Hauger, and Sharon (Orrin) Oliver; her brothers Larry (Jeanne) Stevens and Randy Stevens; her brother-in-law Randy (Mary) Hoiland; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Bernice, and her sisters, Karen Christensen and Dolly Hoiland.
Jane’s warm heart, quick humor, and gentle presence will be treasured forever by all who knew and loved her.
