Kelcy Jordon Orr, beloved daughter, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend, passed away, unexpectedly, on December 23, 2023. Born on April 22, 2008, at Shands Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida, Kelcy brought immense joy to the lives of all who knew her. Her vibrant spirit touched the hearts of many and her memory will forever live on.

Kelcy was a bright student who attended Vermillion High School. She had a thirst for knowledge that was evident in her dedication to her studies and activities. Kelcy's education was complemented by her strong faith as she was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church in June 2008 and confirmed there in October 2022. Her faith played an important role in guiding her through life.

Outside of academics and spirituality, Kelcy had numerous hobbies and interests that showcased her creativity and athleticism. She loved gymnastics and poured her heart into every routine. Her grace and strength on the mat were truly awe-inspiring. Additionally, Kelcy excelled in track and field, leaving a lasting legacy by breaking Yankton's 22-year-old record in the 4x200 relay event. She also achieved greatness by earning a spot in the South Dakota State track and field tournament where she placed 7th in the 4x200 meter dash.

Kelcy had a passion for the arts as well. Whether it was painting or engaging in various arts and crafts projects, she expressed her innermost emotions through her creativity. Kelcy also possessed a talent for writing that allowed her to captivate her mind and others with her words.

Family meant everything to Kelcy. She cherished moments spent with each and every one of them. Among Kelcy's surviving relatives are her Parents, Jim and Jenny (Larsen) Orr, Grandmother Bev (Grandma) Orr; Grandfather, Don (Grandpa) Larsen; Uncles, Scott (Jessi) Larsen and Dustin (Uncle D) (Liza Jackson) Larsen. Her aunts, Steph Berry, Missy (Jacob) Overby; Kelcy's cousins Jillian (Jilli) Kribell, Alicia (Ali) Kribell, Nicholas (Angi) Kribell, Jamie (Jamely) Larsen, Elizabeth (Lulu) Larsen, Colin Berry, Anthony (Green Lantern) Jackson.
Preceding Kelcy in passing were her Grandparents, Peggy Larsen, Ron Orr, Lyle Timm, as well as her great-grandparents Alfred and Luella Larsen; Raymond and Fannie Housman; Bud and Eileen Orr; Robert and Jean Nissen; and Cousin, August Kribell.

Kelcy had an incredible support system of friends and caregivers who held a special place in her heart. Morgan Higman, Josie Askew, Alyssa Knutson, Katrina Heles and Heles family, Kallie (Pat) Booth, Victoria (Tori) Booth and Edna Timm. Their shared experiences created a lifelong friendship that will never be forgotten.

Kelcy's proudest accomplishments will forever be a testament to her determination and talent. Let us remember her for the incredible person she was and find solace in the memories we shared. As we say goodbye to Kelcy Jordon Orr, may her spirit guide us, comfort us, and remind us of the preciousness of life.
