Kristopher Hoffman Jr.

Kristopher Lee Hoffman Jr, known by many close to him as either Sunshine or Buddy, passed away unexpectedly on October 13, 2024, at Sanford Children's Hospital in Sioux Falls. 

Buddy was born on July 7, 2013, to Rebecca and Kristopher Hoffman Sr. in Vermillion, SD. At age 2, he was diagnosed with Autism and while some thought that might hold him back, his family believes it helped to shape him into the beautiful person he became. He lived life with enthusiasm, a heart of gold, and a joy for the things he loved most. Some of Buddy’s favorite things were car rides with his family, Orange Hi-C, swinging, and Wheel of Fortune. While he provided his family and friends with millions of unforgettable memories, he will be most remembered for his infectious smile, vivacious laugh, and loving affection to those he loved most. 

Kristopher was preceded in death by his grandfather, Joseph D. Hoffman (Hapa).

He is survived by his parents, Kristopher Sr. & Rebecca. His sisters, Kayley, Mercedees, Tarynn, Siri, and brother Leeland. His great grandparents Earl & June Sampson, His grandparents, Shawn Hoffman, Bart & Chris Kneifl. His aunts and uncles, Carrie Hughes (Cory), Tonya Gordon (Steve), Kimberlee Browne, and numerous cousins and special friends from the school, gas station, and Taco Johns.
