Marilyn Ann Isaacson

Marilyn Ann (Girard) Isaacson, 83, of Vermillion SD passed away peacefully at the Sanford Vermillion Care center on Saturday, January 14, 2023.

A Wake will be held at St. Agnes Catholic Church on Sunday, February 19, 2023, beginning at 7:00PM. Visitation will be held one hour prior. Funeral Mass will be held Monday, February 20, 2023, beginning at 10:00. Burial will be held at St. Agnes Calvary Cemetery following the service.

Marilyn was born on October 21, 1939 on the family farm to Alphonse and Stella Girard. She graduated from Vermillion High School in 1957. Shortly after she married Merle “Bud” Isaacson in Vermillion, SD on June 27, 1957, and from this marriage were born five children, Robert, Rick, Randy, Rollie and Rhonda. Marilyn and Merle resided in Las Vegas, NV prior to moving back to Vermillion in July of 2009. Marilyn worked as a Bank Teller for several years as well as Brinks Armored car service from 1971 until retirement.

She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, VFW Auxiliary, and the Eagles Auxiliary in Vermillion. She enjoyed the company of everyone and spent her free time baking, cooking, and playing cards.
