Mary Bottolfson

Mary Louise Bottolfson, 92, of Vermillion, SD passed away July 14, 2026.

Mary Logue was born October 8, 1933 in Wakonda, SD to Cletus and Helen (Smith) Logue. She graduated from Wakonda High School in 1951. Following high school, Mary worked at Dakota Microfilm Service in Vermillion, SD. Mary married Leonard Bottolfson on November 22, 1957. Leonard and Mary farmed and raised their family west of Vermillion. Later in life, she worked for Tom Vogel, CPA. Mary was a life long active member of St. Agnes Catholic Church.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband and parents, son-in-law Dr. Bruce Prouse, brothers Joseph Logue and James Logue, brother-in-law Robert Duffy and sisters-in-law Dorothy Logue and Cheryl Logue.

Mary is survived by 3 daughters: Rhonda (Tom) Landy, Dr. Diane Bottolfson and Julie (Cullen) Prasek; a son Michael (Erica) Bottolfson; siblings: Delores Duffy, Richard (Julie) Logue, John Logue and Charles (Cathy) Logue; sister-in-law Judy Logue; grandchildren: Melissa (Adam Scharf) Landy, Elizabeth (Michael) Rasmussen, Mary (Allen) Khayat, Anne (Nick Ageton) Prouse, Grace Prouse, Kayla Prasek, Mallory (Cory) Zietz, Cameron, Chloe and Adalyn Bottolfson; great grandchildren: Avery, Asher & Annalee Zietz, Giuliana & Leo Rasmussen, Sophia Khayat, Sonny Scharf and Lainey Ageton and many nieces & nephews.

Donations can be made to the St. Agnes Catholic School or the Evergreen Cemetery Association.

Memorial service will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 21at The St. Agnes Catholic Church in Vermillion, with burial of ashes at the Bergen Evergreen Cemetery rural Meckling, SD.
