Roger Allen Olson

Roger Allen Olson, 87, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025.

Roger was born on August 31, 1938, to Bernard and Alice Olson. He grew up in Vermillion, South Dakota, and was a proud graduate of Vermillion High School and the University of South Dakota.

After completing his education, Roger began a long and dedicated career in retail, working for Kmart and other stores until his retirement. Known for his reliability and strong work ethic, he took pride in his work and valued a life of simplicity and routine.

Roger enjoyed fishing trips to Minnesota, where he found peace on the water, and he was a lifelong Los Angeles Dodgers fan, faithfully following his team through every season.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Alice Olson, and his brother, DeWayne Olson. Roger is survived by his sister-in-law, Patricia Olson; nieces, Vicki Cleland and Kristi Abild; and nephew, Jeff Olson.

Roger lived a quiet and simple life, finding contentment in his routines, his memories, and the things he loved most.
