Timothy Dean Johnson

Timothy Dean Johnson left this world on April 6, 2026, at Avery Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, SD.

Timmy was born on May 1, 1967, in Sioux Falls, SD. He was the first child of Virgil and Carolyn Johnson. He spent his first years in Centerville, SD and in the fall of 1970 the family moved to a farm in rural Irene, SD.

Timmy graduated from Viborg Public School in 1985. While in high school Tim excelled at writing poems and short stories. He attended the University of Vermillion for a few years. He married Darla Wheatley in 1988. They later divorced and he married Karen Krause and to this union one son, Ryan Allan, was born. They later divorced and Timmy remarried Darla and to this union one son Cody Dallas was born. They also later divorced. Timmy remained single until his passing.

He preceded in death by his beloved mother. He is survived by his father, his sons, his sister Theresa “Tess” (Larry) Johnson, his nieces Jamison (Chase) Eisenhauer and Lyndsey Johnson and many close friends and relatives.

A graveside committal is planned for later this summer.
